Tolerance: Rounds down if the calculated size is within 0.10 of the next lower standard size.
Nozzle sizes are standardized in 0.5 increments (e.g., 2.0, 2.5, 3.0).
Too small a nozzle = too much pressure = risk of damage.
Too large a nozzle = lower pressure, but safer for your equipment.
Match the nozzle angle to your task:
0° (Red): Max pressure, for tough stains on concrete.
15° (Yellow): Heavy-duty cleaning.
25° (Green): General-purpose cleaning.
40° (White): Gentle cleaning (cars, windows).
65° (Black): Soap application, low pressure.

Misting Nozzle Spray Angle
All nozzles were tested at 1,000 psi using water at 70°F (21.1°C). The room humidity was between 40-50% during the tests. The patternation measurements were conducted using the SETscan OP600 patternator that can measure sprays up to a maximum diameter of 7″.

Flow Rate Calculator
Measure your water supply (tap) flow to size equipment correctly.
Quick picks:
Uses a standard estimate (Hazen–Williams, C=140) for 3/4" inlet hose. Supply-side only.
This measures your water supply flow. Use this value when choosing equipment—your system can’t exceed the flow your supply can provide.
Helpful Tips
For best accuracy, use the largest container you have and time at least 30 seconds.
If you measured in litres, we’ll convert to US gpm automatically.
Open the tap fully and avoid kinks or restrictions in the hose.
Supply-side only: Loss shown here is for the inlet (supply) hose feeding your equipment. High‑pressure hoses affect pressure at the gun, not pump inlet flow.
Using a buffer tank? Gravity-fed tanks provide low inlet pressure; hose losses matter more. Use the shortest, largest‑diameter supply hose possible.
